Dianbo Ruan is a senior engineer (Prof.) and Chief  technologist of CSR Corporation Limited (CSR). With  a PhD. from Tianjin University, Tianjin, He has been  working on Supercapacitor for more than 15 years and firstly developed the highest organic supercapacitors (7500F and 9500F) around the word. Meantime, creatively using those cells as the main power for Low-floor tramcar and Energy storage trolleybus which made by CSR. Right now, the former has been commercial running in Guangzhou Haizhou Line, and the latter also been operated in Ningbo, Zhejiang.
After insisted on researching and producing for a long time, he has been awarded for National technical invention, Provincial prize and Provincial technological achievements appraisal. Until now, he has been researched and developed two generation products personally, and the generation-II supercapacitors have reached the international leading level.

作为一种高效储能器件,超级电容器因具有比功率高、循环使用寿命长以及宽工作温度范围等特点,而成为一种非常具有发展与应用前景的新兴储能器件。通过研制高性能“石墨烯/活性炭”复合材料,在优化电极制备工艺与单体结构特征的前提下,在全球范围内首次实现了单体比能量达7.29Wh/kg的有机系超级电容器(9500F)大规模批量化生产。同时,通过结合超级电容器与新型轨道交通的应用特点,有机系石墨烯基超级电容器被创造性的应用于储能式现代有轨电车和储能式现代无轨电车,且两者已分别在广州海珠线和宁波196路公交线路实现商业运行。
